:D And suddenly the addition of that simple 'munch' sound effect gives the ending its proper impact. The absence of sound elsewhere is now deafening, however! See how much sound animation absorbs/demands/needs!?
An elegantly communicative animatic, Julien - but I do have this challenge for you on which to reflect: project management is the art of delivering something as required and in accordance with the expectations of others; it is one thing to be very good at something, it is something else to be a 'completer/finisher' - which you sometimes struggle to achieve. At some point soon, it will not matter how beautiful or impressive your work is; what will matter is its availability to the people who have asked for it - and the assurances you can give that you know the difference between pleasing yourself and satisfying others. You need to know how to be finished with a piece of work in accordance with a deadline; in other words, you may need to put professional courtesy towards others before your own obsessiveness with polish and perfection. I think this is your principle struggle going forwards and I'd like you to think about it openly. It's about striking a balance and understanding how to economise, strategise and deliver - in other words, you need to improve your project management as a skillset in its own right.

Your character designs are so good! They work really well here as you've given an example of what they may look like animated.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've too been under the impression I had achieve something right with them as they quickly felt natural to draw in any situation.
DeletePS. I can say the same for you by the way! Your dentist design was brilliant and the two distinct states of the house worked very nicely :)
