At some point I felt like I was designing Ikea furniture but I guess it's a good thing considering the store's target clientèle/DIY approach — besides, Scandinavian manufacturers, like Swedish textile designer Astrid Sampe, were also amongst Lucienne Day's inspirations.
#2 was an attempt at creating a flat 3D space to stay faithful to Day's way of working.
If I saw that snow-flake booksehelf in Ikea I would definitety buy it : D Great designs Julien, it does seem that you are feeling comfortable with that style.
