My city's structure is starting to evolve towards something reminiscent of a suburbia. I had considered the idea before because of the repetitive nature of patterns, Lucienne Day's field of predilection, and because I still had Calvino's Zirma in mind but the screening of Edward Scissorhands today sort of convinced me to go down that path. The 'vintage' appeal of Day's work and her decision to mass-produce for middle-class people also support that concept in my opinion.
