Really great sets of thumbnails, Julien! The sheet of B&W ones is amazing : ) I don't know much about the invisible cities but numbers 51 and 63 are standing out for me.
P.s. I hope that the first week of the course has been exciting for you and that you are all excited about the project : ))
Thank you, glad you like it! I take mental note of that. (By the way I think I might try posting excerpts from the novel next time, so that the cities thumbnails resonate with their description. That will probably be a lot more easier to read.)
P.s. Thanks! It's crazy to realise that it's only been a week and half when it feels like ages. I sure am :) The amount of work slightly worries me but it's not the first time I have to manage several creative projects at the same time. I hope everything is going the way you want for your final animation as well!
Another eye-catching collection J.V.W! Really love the whimsy of the ship/camel city - and I'm excited too by the way the mood between the two sheets of thumbs shifts from that moody, cloud-enshrouded stilt city to the high fantasy of Despina. 54 is lovely and strong, and I like too the internal logic you've got going on in terms of reference - for example the way the structure of those 'umbrella' trees is mimicked by the architecture, and also the flamingo makes me smile - that improbable animal on those improbable, stilt-like legs; and you've got a satsifying mix of expressive and informative drawings too. Delightful - good job - keep those cities coming!

Good, good! Keep it all up to date and don't give up : D
DeleteFor me it's going alright, a bit of a bumby road so far but eventually I will figure things out : )
